I survived a hot day at the track. I took Gretel to Grattan Raceway for the annual Alfa Romeo Memorial Day Track Event. The MINI did well in the hot weather. She is robust and took the hot weather well eventhough this car produces a lot of heat. I ran with another MINI Cooper S in stock form. My car is definitely more powerful and agile due to wheels, tires and larger rear swaybar. It was a blast. Here are some pictures of Gretel and the other MINI. Also pictures of other cars including this nice Beck Spider Replica that my boss runs.

We'll its time to start on the projects that I planned on Gretel. I want to add a oil temp and voltmeter to complete the gauge package for this car. Next is the Alta Intake hose and the second Oil Catch Can. Then the 4-2-1 Header. The header is a unit I bought from a guy for around $400. It is normally a $800 item. I am afraid about the CAT from what others are saying that it will trip the Check Engine Light. I am thinking of having a local shop cut the CAT off and add a flange so that I can add a high flow Cat to it and have the option of replacing a bad cat when needed. One at a time is the plan.
The Alfa Romeo Club is holding their annual track day at Grattan on Memorial Day and I would like to run Gretel there. It is a fun time and I get to sharpen my skills on the track.
Mods are in the future. Oh oh time comsumption is near. I would like to spend time with my wife and son and I know that takes priority.
Till Later, Cheerio
Carl
